As Nov. 1st rolled around and I started paying bills and credit cards (gasp!) I decided my spending needed to go on a diet. This feeling is particularly acute as I look ahead to wanting to do lots of Christmas shopping for friends and family.
SO, without taking ANYTHING away from the devoted SYC-ers who have been on this band wagon for many weeks, I am going on a self-imposed shopping ban from now (well, Nov. 1st) until Christmas Day. This obviously doesn't include shopping for others, nor does it include shopping for Christmas decor--I always buy a few things for the house and refuse to not do so this year. And I'm ending it on 12/25 instead of the end of the year because I LOVE those post-Christmas sales!

Anyone want to join this modified, holiday-oriented SYC challenge with me?
Let me just say that the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale is already difficult but, I'm pleased to say that instead of clicking "buy" on a cart-full of items, I sent my favorite ones to my mom for Christmas ideas.

C'mon ladies, misery loves company!
