I recently found this sweatshirt dress at TJmaxx, and it came home with me. I’d like to find some new ideas for my winter at-home style (usually it's jeans/fleece top), and for $15 US I thought this would be a good experiment.

The brand is 7 for all Mankind, which is new to me, and I suspect the quality is quite good. In case anyone else is interested … I see a lot of this exact item for sale on poshmark, ebay, etc mostly in an olive color.

JFE? Unsure. The fit seems ok, not sure how flattering it is. This is a small and there were no other sizes available at TJmaxx. I'm not sure I'd want to try a larger size because the shoulders would be too big, plus this item is only available at second hand sites for 3x as much as I paid .. so it's not quite the same inexpensive experiment

Color? I can't decide if I love this color (mushroom?) or if it washes me out. I would not want to try anything like a scarf in other colors – too fussy with the hood.

Worn with fleece-lined leggings and sneakers.

It's a little shorter than I'd prefer for a dress but as a sort of tunic over leggings it's fine. The shoulders are roomy enough for an underlayer on top. I could imagine this worn with a pair of soft slouchy ankle boots with rubber soles, but i don't own any. (I don’t wear leather soled shoes at home because they slip on my wood floors.)

What say you? Keep/Return? Styling suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
