Usually, I don't like knits on or with knits, but I saw this inspiration board from Gap and kind of like the multi layered knit look:

It seems like with the right sweaters it would work, I'd worry personally about adding too much bulk.

I get "clothing claustrophobia" very easily so I am always sad when I see such great layered looks. This seems like a great option for mild winters.

Hmmm, as long as it doesn't look "twinset", I'm all for it! I have some sleeveless knit draped-neck tops that are really fine-gauge sweaters that I wore with a small cable-knit cardigan over top in the O.C..(not the day we were together) and because they were different colors and knits and weights, I didn't think twice about it.

The Gap ad shows different patterns and texture; I like it!

I think that works on her because she's VERY slim and straight and 'bulkless'. I'm not fat, but I don't think that would work on my body -at all.

Call me weird, but I don't really like how knits on knits (especially wool on wool, a jersey or t-shirt fabric on wool is ok) feel on me:-) And I prefer the knit + woven combination for myself. But I can definitely see it work on others.

I really like the layering, but would personally find it too warm unless that striped layer was a tee. I hope you'll post photos of this when you experiment!
