Sweaters (ETA links to purchases)

I've purchased a few sweaters because I was down to only 5 (eek)! I hate having to shell out $ for them right now, but I need to prepare for winter. Two of the ones I ordered are cardigans, which isn't really a "need" but will be useful for days that start out cool and end up warm. I don't have that many layering pieces.

Haha. Five is definitely desperately low in my book. So these are justified to me.

I know, right? I don't need a ton of sweaters, but 5 is a really low number. I'll try to post pics when I wear them. So far, our fall weather has fluctuated between lows in the 40's to lows in the '60s. Yesterday and today have been cool in the mornings but up in the mid '70s in the afternoons. It looks like we're going to have a very mild winter if things don't change. Still, I don't want to be sweaterless, especially since my office is always cold.

5 is definitely too low, as in crisis proportions, and I'm in texas where it doesn't get too cold. So yeah, it may have sucker spending money, but at least you won't die of hypothermia

Ha! Love this. I'm down to three OK-to-wear-in-public sweaters at the moment and I live in a snowy place! And I love sweaters! Was feeling guilty about clicking BUY on the two newbies below this morning but now, after reading, feeling OK. Thank you!

I like jacket-like sweaters that zip up and I also like wraps - basically things that make me feel snug and that are easy to take on and off for layering purposes.

Some of my favorite warm cozy sweaters have come from thrift shops. I am wearing one today while looking out at several inches of new snow. Feel them to speed up shopping and find the non-scratchy possibilities.

I live in a cold climate and my numbers are similar to yours. 2 cotton, 2 merino, 2 cashmere, and 2 chunky handknits that function more as outerwear. I probably need more.

I don’t like having to do laundry all the time. And while I wear a lot of repeat outfits, I do prefer going 2+ weeks before repeating tops. I don’t care how many times I repeat pants and footwear. I make tops and jewelry the focus of every outfit.

Most of the sweaters I ordered are Isaac Mizrahi from QVC, as I have come to trust his brand for quality and fit. I did order a blush pink Iman poncho from HSN, though. I love the color and the detachable faux fur collar.
