So, I've sort of resigned myself to the fact that if I buy a sweater, it's going to pill at some point. I have a sweater shaver that I use to remedy this problem, but I was wondering how other people dealt with it? When I am looking at a sweater at the store, I give it the "pill test," that is, I lightly rub it between my thumb and index finger to see if the fibers form pills. No sweater has yet to pass the test, so if I really love the item, I will usually buy it regardless. I would love to find one that did though! Is there some brand or fiber that people have had good luck with little or no pilling?
Are sweater shavers bad for clothes--is there a better way to deal with pills, etc?
