Sweater shaver recommendations?

I find disposable razors work very well. For me they are much more effective than sweater shavers or stones.

I like the idea of using a disposable razor, though. This comb is amazing, but it does fuzz up the surface a bit.

I try not to buy disposables

But will look at the other ideas. The trick will be getting them delivered to India without paying more than their cost in shipping. Or finding it locally. The remington I have hopes of...

I had one of the battery powered ones years ago and I was not impressed. I find that a cheap pumice stone (dedicated to this purpose, of course!) or a regular safety razor works much better.

I have a Dritz De-Fuzz it comb. Works like a charm and fits in my purse. I purchased it on Amazon.

I use a pumice stone. It is real volcanic debris that I found on a beach last century and not as ferocious as the pumice sold in pharmacies. I like it not only because it is going to last forever but also because I can choose how much elbow grease I want to put into the job.
So, I can use it on my feet (blech) as well as on my finest cashmere. Which is my only cashmere, I don't have a cashmere stable.

I use a version of a pumice stone made just for sweaters. Seems more forgiving to user error than shavers where i have made holes when garment had unnoticed wrinkles.

I have a battery patterned one that looks kind of like JAileen's, but am wary of using it after it made a hole in one of my sweaters. Although that was probably my fault for trying to de-fuzz the sweater while it was on me rather than laying flat.

I also have a cheap plastic sweater comb somewhere, which seemed to work okay, although it takes a while if there's lots of de-frizzing to do.

I bought a sweater comb recently but I'm not sure how I like it. It picks up pills/bobbles but definitely leaves the sweater feeling fuzzy. I also use a sweater shaver from Target that works well.

I have an old Remington one, which works OK but it takes a while to shave a whole sweater (you have to go slow or you miss things). I don't like the comb/stone because I don't like how they leave things with a fuzzy halo (hey, I am a knitter, I like to see the stitches clearly!). Plus the fuzz is just the precursor to more pills!

I have been tempted to try this thing. I think Amy has one so maybe she will chime in.

I have something called a d-fuzz-it sweater/fabric comb that works really well. It gets rid of all the pills without damaging the fabric. I've had it for years and cannot remember where I got it.

Shoot, I buy these from drugstore.com (dunno if you have them). I find they don't last very long if you leave the batteries in - the batteries fuzzx over and get gnarly. But they're disposable items as far as I am concerned. Just make sure to keep the fabric taut when you use them.

I used to use disposable razors or sweater combs and have used the pumice stones in the past, but my favorite is a battery powered gizmo from Bed Bath and Beyond. It doesn't leave fuzz to repill but doesn't take off too much either. I use it with a circular motion over the pilled area.

I have this Izumi one and while it's embarrassing to admit I spent that much money on it, it does work and has saved many items from getting thrown out or donated.
