I found 2 at Target that I love. I bought the pictured purple and black. After I took the picture, I cut off the belt loops and ditched the fabric belt. They look good by themselves or with a shirt underneath. They are only $35 and cotton, rayon, and nylon.

I have had luck in the past with Uniqlo sweater dresses, they only really last a season but are inexpensive. Unfortunately I do not see anything similar on their website right now.

I could so not get away with this, but I'm digging the pleated skirt and the cowl-necky turtleneck. It has a bit of a French vibe going on, I could see it with ballet flats or boots. It's sold out though, sorry;-)

So Debbie started a thread on the item you could never get enough of and Khris on sweater dresses...I wasn't sure which to respond to b/c sweater dresses *are* the wardrobe item I could never get enough of! Now I feel like I must have that AT one...that color is so great.

I know YLFers are not generally fans of nude and I doubt I could pull this off myself, but I have been coveting this dress for what seems like a year...

Since it might finally get a little cool here tomorrow (sorry, we in Colorado are not used to this 80 degree nonsense in October), I just inventoried the sweater dresses on hand chez moi and will be shopping my closet.

I bought two grey sweater dresses at Nordstrom Rack in the last month, and have a stack of sweater dresses from previous years as well. Now that I have my super riding boots, I'm going to work the sweater dress-leggings-boots uniform hard.

Edited to add: mgshakes, that camel dress is exquisite!

I did see a lot of Calvin Klein sweater dresses at Burlington Coat Factory today. Worth a visit if you have one near you.
