SW Setasides--Too Tall?

Last week, I ordered the Setaside boots by SW as they were 50% off at Nordstrom's and I have a very narrow calf. But...I'm wondering if they are too tall for me. Help needed! Thanks in advance...

Looks to me like you have the legs for them! I think they're great boots. As long as they don't chafe the back of your knee when bending.

They look beautiful on you. But I do think they are a touch too tall, yes. Alas....

Would you ever wear with skirts? That might be the real test. If not, you might be able to get away with this.

I'm really bad at judging this because I have the opposite problem -- tall boots always come well short of my knees. I think they look great. I think the biggest question is whether they *feel* right -- how do they feel when you sit or bend your legs?

Thanks. I'm in Texas...so weather-wise, I'm more likely to wear with pants. That being said, for the price, it would be nice to have these as options for the couple winter skirts/dresses that I have.

I'm an equestrian so I have custom tall boots that are 3" taller than these to have them come to your knee while the leg is bent. So...I'm not the best judge for "feel." I can say these are much more comfortable than my riding boots. But, as I'm only in the market for one pair of knee high boots, I want to make sure these are the right ones.

I thinkt hese might be a touch too tall. I would wait and find your perfect pair. They are out there.

I like these if they are comfortable behind the knee when sitting... (but then again my tall boots are a likely little too tall so maybe that's a rule I choose to break?)

I think they're fine as long as they don't rub and hurt the back of your knee. I have a pair of Cole Haan's that look similar to these and the fronts actually hit my knee cap. I was worried about them being too tall and got the okay from Angie. Good enough for me!!

I'll try the sit test...and good to hear that Angie is giving the ok on boots that may be slightly tall. Hopefully she will weigh in here too.

Well they look divine!! If you can sit without crushing the back and they are comfortable - the look is fabulously elegant. You can't do better than SW and that price is a total score!!

Love them and love the fit on you! Saw them on sale and talked myself out of them since my "winter" is almost over, and now I wish I would've jumped. I too have narrow calves, so your fit experience is good to hear. Need to continue to stalk SW boots, I do believe, and next time be ready to pounce. Enjoy them!

I don't think they look too tall - the main question for me is whether they are too wide at the top, and these fit beautifully. They make your legs look so long and slender!

I'm glad Angie weighed in. This was a tough one, because I think the boots are designed to be taller because of the extra leather in the front. I do think they're very smart looking.

I think if you can sit comfortably they are perfect. I like my boots on the taller side and can't ever seem to find them to fit like I want them -- maybe my lower leg is unusually long? I am swooning at these. Absolutely gorgeous.
