Sveta's cobalt trousers on me and another pair of BR Martins

When I saw the Banana Republic cobalt trousers on Sveta, I knew I had to try them for myself. I loved the color and I'm always looking for fun business casual choices! Here they are on me... keep or return? I don't find the color too wild and think it will be nice with black and white. What do you think of the fit? I have a hard time finding trousers that fit well.

I also ordered these checked straight leg BR Martins. Not sure about the fit but I love the print. Are they a bit too tight? How's the length? I always have issues with crotch fit, so there is some wrinkling going on... not sure if that's okay or not.

Would love your thoughts on both pairs. They're both for work wear.

And yes, this is probably the first time I'm posting pics in a year... but Sveta's pants inspired me!

Love the cobalt trousers, they are an awesome colour. I think that I would colour block them with black or white too.

The BR Martins could be a tad longer I think.

Have you done the sit down test in both?

Cobalt is gorgeous on you. How about the length in back?

Are you wearing a belt with the plaid pants? The crotch issue is sometimes helped with belting. It's not a deal breaker for me -- this seems rather minor. I think the side view makes them seem just a touch short. There's probably enough in the hem to make the difference, if you have the inclination to make them longer. Love this plaid. Your legs look impossibly long!

They both look good on you. I agree with the other that you should let the hem down by an inch.

nice to see you posting again, Marianna, I missed your outfits! I like both pants but nr 2 is already styled to 11 out of 10:-). The cobalt needs a more dressy top IMHO, but am not an expert, at all:-).

Love the cobalt on you! I agree the plaid look a tad short but I know from the ones I tried there is at least an inch hem.

I like both, and the cobalt is great paired with that bow sweater too. I've been eyeballing that sweater myself. I also like the plaid, but they look short, is there enough to let the hem out a bit?

That pullover is Killer to the power of Killer, Marianna. Good grief. And it was on my fab finds list for next week to boot.

My thumbs are up for both pairs of trousers too. I particularly like the checks.

Huh! Now we are double trouser twins! I have my plaid trousers to taper by 1" and now the shortness problem gone! Another solution is to let down the hem - I would say there is at least 1" there.

Thanks, all! I'm checking in quickly from work... will respond more later. I'll let out the hem on the checked pants. I think the cobalt ones need to be shrotened a tad bit too.

I love the bow sweater... wasn't even up for discussion! Wearing it to work today and it's fab... feels great on too.

Sveta, I didn't realize we were double trouser twins -- how fun! I think we must also have a similar inseam, although your legs are so much longer than mine. So interesting.
