All your posts on thrifted treasures apparently affected my brain and when I dropped my son at the bus station this morning I went...consignment shopping!
There is one consignment store in my city I like and today I discovered another one - yay!
I spent around 1.5 hours in each of them, had lots of fun and got a skirt at each.
There was one dress in one of them which I loved. It was Tahari silk dress in white and black pattern and interesting neckline. It was pretty expensive - $149 - but it was new with tags and original price was almost $400. I picked it from the rack and had all this struggle in my head between the price and the fact that I liked it and that I need more summer dresses. However my agony was quenched when I tried it on: unfortunately the skirt was a bit snug in the hips - not too tight but enough that I decided to pass on because PPP is my mantra now!
However I got a couple of skirts and taking them to my mom to alter tomorrow. I have played with them in my closet tonight and I am in love. They both patterned, midi (or at least past the knee on me) and the styles I don't have yet.
I will post pictures when I get them back from alterations, I promise.
Note to myself: I have to create a habit of taking a camera or at least a cell phone with me to take pictures while shopping!
Now I definitely have more skirts that jeans and pants to wear in summer!
