So not only am I very much on Team Wear It Now when I purchase a new item, but I'm also on Team Wear It A Lot when I'm especially excited about something. That being said, I couldn't help but break out my waist-surrendering Vince Camuto blouse again.

Last time I paired it with my emerald knit skirt, but this time I was feeling a bit more elegant so I pulled out the good old knee-length black pencil skirt. Even though my aqua shoes and teal earrings technically are a different shade, they are close enough to the color tones of the emerald in the blouse (especially when it's next to the citron stripe) that they work. This is one of the very rare occasions when I wore earrings and glasses at the same time - usually it feels like too much next to my face, but I left off the necklace to balance everything out.

I felt so comfortable that I decided to wear a very similar outfit tonight when B. and I meet up with friends at a local brewer's festival - black ponte knit walking shorts (yes! I found some that I like!), a silver pendant on a black cord, the same teal earrings, and the beige and black patent flats.

Tomorrow is wedding #2, which is the optional "Old Hollywood" theme. I didn't manage to snag any elbow-length gloves, but may make the rounds at some of the prom dress shopping places in town to see if I have any luck.
