Anchie, interesting observation about perception/aspiration and reality! The berry thing definitely started as aspirational; I found the tonal matching pieces in one of Angie’s posts just magical and very sophisticated, so decided I wanted a wardrobe that supports that. I think I could dress head-to-toe in those shades now, but I don’t. I feel like going back and doing the numbers on my WIWs from this year. Think I something berry in most but not all. Cranberry and blackberry are the two berry colors I have most of.
Cindysmith and Jessikams, oh the hot pink! It almost deserves its own category, the way it sells itself as “FUN” and not too girly at all until it’s in the closet. I think the cantaloupe color is different, because I think it actually looks good on me. (Does it?)
Runcarla, yes, cantaloupe. But I don’t like that melon like I like the color. I bet grey-blue would look amazing with your hair.
Angie, the knit tank top is the “sweater”.
La Ped, I wonder if there’s a message you get from those colors that seems related to working out, like maybe that they are more energizing
Thanks, RobinF & nemosmom. There is def a hint of pink going on in some of these. But it’s mostly dusty pink like cs mentions, and dusty is another category I don’t really do. At least I don’t think I do.
Kate, funny that your lurker capsule is the same color as mine. I wonder if there a meaning we attach to this color the bubblegum has one I’m not sure what that would be, but do note that these are all summery items. I think the shade works best against my skin, no other color inbetween. I tried a white at with the jumpsuit, decided I’d rather put it away until we are in warm temps again.
PaulaF, hi 5, color twin! But I don’t have those other colors in my home—I match the wallpaper, lol.
Firecracker, wut? Lol.
RL in orange? Why not!
JAileen, have you always had the pale pink? It’s slowly been growing on me for the past few years; I consider it a relative of the berries.
