super long tassel earrings

Pardon the bad quality of the below pic -- I had to take it with my laptop camera! I bought these earrings because I loved them and they make me laugh, and now I'm wondering what to wear them with. They are longer than my neck, so I think I need something to lengthen that whole part of me, visually.

Strapless top, maybe? I'm not super-comfy with that as it's really feminine, but I would do it every now and then if it made these earrings work.

Other options?

I luff them 11/10. Superior earrings.

Do you do cold shoulder tops?

Frankly tho, I'd pop on a black thin cashmere or wool jumper, show a little skin at the low neck and call it a day. Obviously add pants.

Is your hair short or pulled back? If short, a spiky updo sort of thing would be spectacular with the shoulder dusters.

Back to add...what you're wearing topped with a leather jacket with the spiky hair and dark jeans would be super. Femme punk.

Yes to what bj1111 and Angie said. Bascially I'd just go with a really simple outfit to let the earrings shine. I even think a nice black fitted turtleneck sweater and slouchy jeans could look fantastic with these. They're a showstopper.

Ooh, I like the idea of a turtleneck. I'm curious to see how that would work out.

I wonder about wearing a camisole with a topper that is worn open or partially buttoned. This would be another way of creating a deep neckline, but you'd have to keep the pieces simple so as to avoid distracting from the jewelry. You'd have to experiment with this--an open topper might be too "busy" with the earrings.

Thanks, folks! Your suggestions made me wonder if they'd work with the top I have on, so you get more terrible laptop pictures. This top is the Gap cowl back top, pretty casual (not as casual as Iggy Pop, probably), but much simpler.

It doesn't quite work -- the neckline is for sure too high -- but it's a lot better. I'll have to bring these shopping with me sometime soon!
