Super Bowl Sunday = super shopping!

Anyone else planning to hit the stores tomorrow? Since I am in the Boston area, I am hoping for really light crowds, LOL! I'm heading for the outlets, another Savers, and the mall of course. It may be sacrilege for someone here to say, but I care not one bit about the game!

Oooo. Are there and sales goinig on for football widdows? I was going to go to a Superbowl party just to be sociable, but if there are sales, well that trumps all.

Amen to that, Lori. I am not able to drive for now, but if you come to the city, let me know, lol. Savers is where I got two great pair of jeans the only time I was there. Must go back!

I went to this Boden clearance sale at a convention center today. It was a zoo. Bought nothing.

I don't think I will make it all the way into the city. I will probably only have 5-6 hours to cover Wrentham outlets and Natick mall. I am interested to compare the Savers in Framingham to the one I went to in Nashua earlier this week.

I meant to ask about the Boden sale - I was very curious what it was like. Sorry you didn't find anything! I haven't ordered Boden for me in a while. I think I like it in the catalog, order a bunch of stuff, then end up sending most or all of it back because it never looks good on me.

Claire, I don't know about specific sales - I am just taking advantage of what I hope will be the lack of other people shopping! But it seems like right now there are lots of deals to be had if you're still looking for winter stuff. Of course, I live in a totally different climate from you!

Well I hope you find the stores clear and great bargains! I need to go returning before I go shopping again. I wish I could hit the nail on the head with every purchase, but it's not to be. At least I know to take pictures and scrutinize everything before I rip off the tags! Have fun today.

Claire !! Very funny..

I am not going anywhere, I have the flu. But being Sunday everything around here is closed by 5. I live 60 miles from Boston and I CAN"T TAKE ONE MORE THING ABOUT THE SUPER BOWL.

I do want to watch it with my kids because Tom Brady may go down as one of the best QBs ever and I want my kids to see that. I was lucky that I got to see Doug Flutie and the Celtics with Bird and Ainge and all the other guys.

But the truth is that I am not invested in who ACTUALLY wins....I hope no one I know reads this..shhhh.

I need to go food shopping at Trader Joe's, and am afraid it will be mobbed!

Mochi, you are probably right !!!! My family is not American either, so my mom and dad and sister and many family friends don't care....but my husband !! Well his is from the Detroit area and he moved here right around all the Boston teams exploded...he claims it is that he brought them good luck. ( Along with the fact that Detroit hasn't had much to cheer about it )

We are watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. Not much excitement but really cute!

The shopping was great. I didn't make it past the outlets. I got there around 11:30 and it was like a busy weekday. By 4:30 it was practically empty and when I drove home at 6:00 the streets looked like the middle of the night!

I think I did pretty well today. I got a few things at Loft and AT plus a couple other random things. Then as I was getting ready to leave, I passed the Esprit store. I thought, hm, I've never been in there before. Turns out they are closing (boo hoo) so everything was 60% off (yay!). I got 8 pieces for $92, including a jacket and top that I think is one of my favorite outfit combos so far. Woohoo! Way more exciting than some football game!

Lori, I did end up going shopping and it's all your fault (you get all the credit)!
First, around 10, I went to Target to see what all the Jason Wu fuss was about. BIG mistake! I didn't see any fashion because the place was mobbed with starving people buying munchies for the game. I hit Walmart next (slow learner) and barely made it out alive. I had found one shirt to buy, but gave up because the lines were insane. I came home and licked my wounds for awhile.

THEN both of my kids went to different Super Bowl parties and I was home alone, heh!
With nothing to stop me I went to Norstrom's Last Chance outlet. It was not busy at all. I found a cashmere scarf in a pretty aquamarine color ($9.99), some nude Jessica Simpson gladiator sandals that are ridiculously comfortable ($29.99) and a hand made African straw tote with real leather handles ($4.99). Woo-hoo! I had a $50 Visa gift card and with the tax, I was right at $49 and change. Thanks for giving me the idea!
