Sunray Pleated Skirt for a Pear Shaped Girl

Hi all!

Inspired by Angie's post today - I want to find myself a sunray pleated skirt.

My issue, I'm pear shaped and every time I try a sunray pleated skirt, it looks funny. I find that the pleats kinda disappear around my hips...

Any tips on what shape skirt I should look for - to make a sunray pleated skirt work for me?

Sunrays look amazing on pretty pears!

The waistband is key. Go for something constructed with zip closure to provide a clean fit - try to avoid elastic. And its quite okay for the pleats to disappear on the hip on a less full sunray skirt (some are fuller than others depending on the cut). I actually prefer that look. The Trina Turk sunray does that and I love the effect. The AT skirt is much fuller and doesn't have that effect.
