Sunglasses for me? Opinions please!

I was out for a walk today while DD was in acting class, and decided to go and try on glasses for a few minutes. Just for fun.

No luck on regular ones, because I got sidetracked by these sunglasses. I struggle with sunglasses, as my face is narrow, so they often overwhelm with wide frames and all that darkness. I don't feel these do.

Curious what you think of them. Are they too angled for my face?

And of course they look good with my black coat... they might be a bit much with lighter clothing, but I'm not sure that bothers me. I do wear black a lot after all

The frames themselves are really really cool. Kind of a mottled black/navy/cobalt... the colours I wear most. I didn't take a close up, but I will post a zoomed in pic so you can sort of see the effect.

I'm not in any rush, no pressure to get some, so you can be totally honest. It's just fun to finally find something that actually was worth taking a photo and asking for opinions on!

Those look really cool, but I'm not a great judge of frame sizes and shapes either. I just pick some out and hope for the best - and about half the time I succeed. I do like the colour and size of the frame overall .

I really like the shape of these Elizabeth and I think the frame size is perfect for you. I'm glad it's got the bit of blue in it cause I think a thick all black frame would be too heavy on you.

Shannon you are absolutely right... I've been looking (well, keeping an eye out - I still like my current ones, but have had them for gosh, maybe 6-7 years!) for new sunglasses for a while, and they are all brown, which I don't want, or black, which is too heavy. It's hard to know what even to look for. That's why these ones jumped out at me, but the shape is so different than anything I've had before, it's hard to tell if I have hewi goggles on or not. KWIM?

I'm wondering if you have a heart shaped face like I do......wider through the temples and narrower at the chin. I got great help at the Sunglass Hut. They told me to select glasses that are top heavy, like the ones you're wearing, to balance out my wider temple.

Harmonica, that's definitely something I want to test... if they are too dark for lighter colored outfits. They are balanced by my coat in this pic.

Marilyn, my face is oval shaped. I generally prefer ones that are more square shaped, which why these ones surprised me - wasn't expecting them to work at all!

I like them a lot! The shape is so flattering on you, and I imagine the colors are even more visible in real life. The colors sound beautiful for your wardrobe. I'm thinking, though, that you might want more than one pair. Is that a possibility? Something with some white on it, perhaps?
