It's winter here, but I thought it might be a good time to post this since most of you are experiencing summer at this stage.

I generally have a small wardrobe and because I wear most items a lot I normally have to replace them the next season. I have a few things left from last season, but below is my list for this year.

My style goals are (more or less): Outfits must contain an element of fun. Must be relaxed and comfy. Age appropriate. Pulled together. Polished. (Do Pulled together and Polished gel with the other goals or am I confused?). No over purchasing for winter. Not dowdy.

The list:
Bottoms: White BF jeans, Denim shorts (need to replace my 2 pairs), Black dressy shorts, White dressy shorts (I have a pair of white shorts that I could possibly wear. Some issues with it.) (I do have 2 pairs of BF jeans in blues.)
Tops: Black and white pattern T, T with flowers or other print on white background, White short sleeve shirt (it gets too hot here for 3/4 sleeves, but is a shirt with normal short sleeve length a bit dowdy?), another short sleeve shirt (unless you vote nay for white one). Some sleeveless top. (I have a few tops left from last year that can work with bottoms above.) (I do have a denim jacket but it needs tailoring.)
Dresses: A polka dot dress in either navy or brown and I loved this outfit that Angie posted a while ago - http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ei.....r&cm_. I have 2 dresses, but prefer to wear them with leggings and I haven't seen those on this forum for a while. Is it time to give up on those?
Shoes: Nude sandals, metallic sandals - 100% flat or maybe I'll try a slight heel this year. (Apart from some ballet flats and converse type sneakers I have no other shoes left from last season.)

Is this a good basic list? Any suggestions about what I can leave out or what I will potentially need more of, will be appreciated. Thank you in advance if you took time to read this!
