I'm thinking of adding another watch to my collection for spring/summer - I currently have an oversized gold one, a delicate silver one, an ebony/stainless steel one, a beige/apricot leather strap one and a chunky chrome bracelet one. Do you think either of these could be contenders? Which do you prefer, if any?

I like the rose gold since you already have watches with gold/silver design elements.

Shannon I prefer the silver and gold one - more versatile and would work with your color palette better I think. I'd also suggest something colorful and sporty if you don't have something like that in your collection. Last summer I wanted a white ceramic watch, but never got one. I just purchased a white resin one (was dreaming of a ceramic, but the budget had other ideas so we compromised on this one:

Jjsloane - I saw that Michael Kors watch on Amazon. It is gorgeous isn't it? Thanks for the links to the white ones as well. Not sure I wanna go with white but it's something to think about.

I think the first one has a definite vintage vibe to it with the larger face and narrower band. I'm not crazy about the rose gold one - the colour looks a bit garish, almost orangey, in the photo. Maybe it looks better IRL.

And here I was thinkin.....Yes, I'm on the "watch" for Summer too, and I'm sure it's coming! Ha! Must need a nap! BTW -- the silver/gold is my vote.

Hm, I like the rose gold. As Sylvie said, you already have gold and silver tones covered. Also, I think the warm rose color would look nice as a bit of pop with a lot of your neutrals.

How do you feel about mixing metals? Would the rose bother you if you have gold/silver hardware on a bag/necklace/etc?

Shannon you aren't too particular about your watch faces?

Mine has to have numbers, be large enough to see at a glance and have a second hand.

Are the ones you own at the moment all the same or different? Do you wear some of them more often than others?

Beth Ann - too funny! I'm watching for summer too!
Rae - no problem mixing metals and in many instances, I like the look of the mix.
Freckles - not too picky on the face, strangely enough.

I have to say that I wear my mixed gold/silver watch quite a bit, they're pretty versatile. BUT my only other metal watch is silver, so take that with a grain of salt. I really like the rose gold (I have one I need to go get resized that I'm super excited about wearing this spring!), it's a more unique tone. If you don't have a white watch, that's another fun thing to consider

I prefer the first watch still and I don't think it's due to my personal preference on the watch face. I find I prefer that the smaller band gives it a more feminine appeal and the watch face being much bolder really stands out to be noticed as in comparison to the second watch.

Hmm. I think you should keep looking. I prefer the rose gold, but I don't know how useful that would be with your wardrobe. The first would go well, but it doesn't excite me that much.

Rose gold, for sure, of the two you've shown us.

I also want to put in a pitch for a white watch, though -- I love my big white ceramic watch and wear it a lot, especially in summer!

Jjsloane, I love that Michael Kors "horn" watch, but I'm afraid it's too similar to my white one so I've held off so far.

Both are very beautiful. I bought my summer watch about a month ago and I love it. It is a white ceramic peugeot with interchangeable swarovski clear, pink and sapphire bezels. I love it!

I like the Fossil one you just mentioned. The rose gold is certainly attention-getting. And according to QVC it's all the rage. The first two toned watch at the beginning of your thread looks like you could wear it year round with anything. Are you looking for something that's distinctly summery?

Just so you know I got my Fossil at Lord & Taylor for $40 (on sale, extra % off and coupon) I saw a fantastic ceramic Kenneth Cole at the Rack (after) for $75. Zapotee has a fabulous white Toy Watch. Just saying shop around for sure.

Hmm...i never wear a watch. For some reason they always stop working a few days after i put them on my wrist (am I Magneto?!). But i do love the look of a watch all mixed in with a bunch of bracelets.

I like the white watch that Jjsloane posted the best of the white watches. I think from the first ones, if you're planning to wear it with jewelry, look over your collection and see what you think would be the best fit.
