Yes, in February in Canada, I have finished my shoe shopping for Summer 2021
I held off replacing my tired Birkenstock Arizonas last year just a little too long and missed out on the cute 2020 releases which sold out (they repeat some styles over and over, but also seem to do one-off seasonal releases, and I don't know how to tell when something will sell out forever or come back!). So when a local business emailed to advertise they had new Birks in, I was pretty quick to check that out. The colour and big resin buckle appealed. They arrived today and I love them
At the very end of last year I happened across these Toms on sale, only left in my size (which at a size 8 is very rare), at a good price with free shipping. I have never had Toms but I love a good lazy slip on shoe, plus the subtle take on rose gold. Hoping the rough, metallicized finish means they don't dirty the way the cloth Toms do in my city environment. I may even leave them at the cottage where I like to have one "nicer" pair of shoes for the odd outing to a restaurant - it's VERY casual up there and usually makes the most sense to wear out older shoes. But there's a hipster hotel with a poolside restaurant opening in the nearby town...
Pictures of my new shoes and the hipster hotel where rose, lobster and oysters await me and my new shoes in 2021 (if you knew this casual and totally not hip, sometimes struggling seasonal beach town, where there hasn't been a decent restaurant for 20 years, you would know this is a new era indeed!).
