Summer sandals

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all in good health. The good weather has finally arrived here too! I have a pair of black birkenstock for walks and a black pair of wedges but this year I am planning to add a pair of smart summer sandals with some heels.
I mostly wear black, navy, burgundy and cream and like a tailored and feminine look.

I have a MS voucher and would like to buy some from them. Does anybody own this type of mules and can give some advise?

Out of the below options, which ones would you recommend?

I love the black pair in number 3 and think those will be the most versatile and easiest to walk in . They are great in gold but read pretty dressy, but of course, styling is everything. The nude colour in pic 5 is great - if it were offered in the other style, that would be perfect !

I love the golden pair. I would be all over them if they were even remotely suited for my life style.

Thank you for the quick help! The nude sandals are also avaible in black, I am just having second thoughts on adding another pair of black sandals, I worry it may not add any pizzazz to my outfits...

Hi Bella,

Yes, the golden sandals would be fab for a date or gilrs night. It is a bit difficult to think about date nights during these strange times.

The black mules, however, would be a perfect sandals for workwear. Uhm!

I personally wouldn’t get the black if you also wear a lot of navy? I do occasionally mix those colours but prefer not to if possible. With my navy pants, in winter I wear boots or my navy/tan/gold loafers, in summer I wear my metallic sandals with navy, not black sandals.
If it were me, I would buy the gold, but I would be wearing those to the office, not everyone would do that.

I like the look of mules but don’t get them if you have narrow feet. You will walk right out of them. I like #1 and #5 best, a metallic or nude, for summer and a lighter look. Remember to try to bookend your hair color with your footwear. Unless your hair is black, don’t get black. Even a cognac or toffee color may be better. I like silver or pewter with black. It is less harsh.

@Jenni NZ, agree that navy and black is not the best combination! At the same time, the combination of gold and black doesn't really suit me.

@Joy, I have dark brown, almost black, hair! back to square one!

I am thinking of buying the gold and black sandals, this could cover all options. It is still on budget, thankfully.

They are all nice looking sandals- I like them all. I do like the last pair in tan - lovely with black navy and cream.

Thanks all! At the end, I decided to keep the black sandals as they sere the most comfortable!

I have a pair of silver sandals that I though could only be used as eveningswear, I tried with a few outfits in navy and it works!!! Life is too short to keep them only for special occasions.
