I wanted to give you an update on my wig wearing journey, as the summer settles in.

My wigs
Now I have three wigs ladies! They're all "front-lace", which means that they don't have the harsh sudden perfect hairline you see on costume wigs, but rather, hair coming out naturally from a lace front that blends into one's forehead. You can see my three wigs in the first four pics below.

1 - Jon Renau Julianne wig, worn slightly pushed back with front strands of my own hair pulled out.

2-3 - Jon Renau Alia wig, no hair of mine.

4 - Jon Renau Haute wig, pulled back to the limit (i think my own hairline is showing).

Dressing with wigs in the summer

It had never occured to me that the hair you sport coud totally change how you look and feel in your clothes, and so I am re-learning how to dress. I have to change my style slightly. For example, the Alia wig wants preppiness, whereas Julianne is boho.
Parallely, being in a weird place in my life (separation, turning 50, moving), I am in that state again where I feel a bit estranged from my usual style. Something that could be anxiety inducing, but somehow, I don't feel it that way. It's like I'm numbed from my own self in a way. So I take advantage of that moment to explore. And what comes out as a priority is: simple. My outfits must be as effortless as possible. All outfits below are beyond comfortable. Maybe some are too casual though.

5 - "Julianne" with old long yoga skirt and flats.
6 - With Citizens skinnies, Adidas workout halter top tank, Guess utilitary shirt.
7 - Same tank with Gap boyfriend's and Rockport open-tow mules.
8 - Same with straw hat over wig and Cosco-bought Santana sleeveless denim jacket.
9 - With Gap sweater.
10-11-12: variations with Kookai pants the seamstress repurposed as wide cropped. Most toppers are gym wear, but somehow it works for me here.
13 - Nike top and Yoga Jeans high waist skinnies.
14 - I'm wearing a snake shaped belt as a necklace in this one.
15 - I'm wearing a belt as a belt in this one (lol).
16 - Trying some colors. No wigs per say in this one, but a fake ponytail worn as bun.
17 - For when it's ultra hot outside: tennis skirt and gym tank.
18 - Fake bun again, summer dress and tennis.
19 - Alia wig with straw hat.
20 - Alia wig, Talbots clam diggers, flip-flops. Trying to keep it as casual as possible.
21 - No wig here, but false ponytail.
22 - Alia wig, the only way I can wear skinnies with her.
23 - Alia Wig and straw hat.
24 - Alia wig and what fits her best I think.
25 - Haute wig with a dressier outfit.
