Hi Fabbers

Further to my report back on my Spring Capsule, herewith is my proposed capsule for summer. 35 pieces. I will report back end of August if I actually needed all these items. Any thoughts welcome.

Basically comprises 3 shorts, 3 skirts, 2 pants, 6 dresses and various tops and toppers.

This sounds like a balanced capsule. I like dresses in summer so pleased you have a few options.

Looks good. I would need some lighter weight toppers for hot days in air conditioning. Like linen unlined jackets, sheer ponchos or very open knit linen cardigans. Also sleeved button down linen shirts worn as jackets. I also use such pieces as camouflage for lumps and bumps, which is a recent problem. You may not need that use.

Yes Joy I have included an unlined linen blazer, a short sleeve airy cardi, my white denim jacket which is lightweight cotton and very cool, and I have another two blue denim toppers, one is sleeveless (chopped by me and tidied up by a seamstress) and one is short sleeved. At the moment I also prefer a topper when possible for my lumps and bumps created by a small weight gain on the waist. I usually wear these in the evening. Summer days are too hot for any toppers. Good idea about using the button downs open. I have recently acquired a few.

Wow, this is so well thought out and through.
I do hope that you will show us some of the fab outfits that pull together with this capsule…especially interested in the hanky vests as lately i seem to have vests stuck in brain (if having a song stuck in your head is called an earwig, what would the fashion equivalent be called?)

Thanks Lana and KKards, I will try to add pics but my photo-taking opportunities are limited to my laptop currently. You know I am not even sure if they are hanky vests, I named them that, they are very fluid and are longer at the hip area. They are about 12 years old!, yet so useful, they just work for my fluffy middle, IFYKWIM. Ha-ha going to think more about the fashion equivalent for an earwig - maybe an eyewig - or an eye 'something' seeing that it is all about the visual, and not the audio, being stuck in our brains.

KKards just read your comment on Chewy's thread, what I call vests are not what you call vests. I call 'your' vest a waistcoat. My vests are very thin strapped tops. Too hot here in summer for waistcoat/vests, but I would love one for Autumn/Spring.
