Updated at the top.

I don't know Kotn, but might look them up. I love cuts that are just very subtly different from the norm, and that striped boatneck is like that. The second is cute, and looks surprisingly wearable.

I don't have much red, some Dansko Mary Janes that I pull out when it is warmer, a couple graphic tees (black tees with red design) that I've been trying to style. I have a very similar scarf to that you are returning, but it reads less bright, and I love it and wear it a lot; mine is Madewell from a few years back. I guess I have a red bag too, thank you for reminder that this is the time of year to pull that out! I did just purchase a red crew neck tee that I am looking to wear with denim, and with white bottoms. @LisaP mentioned the red carnelian necklace, so I immediately stalked that blogger. I am loving these beaded necklaces that are everywhere and I've purchased (way too many) from both Bauble Bar AND TJ Maxx. I have big bold beads and smaller ones. Grey, brown, green, blue (big beads and a lighter blue in a smaller bead). two turquois (color, not real stones, but perfect for summer). Bauble Bar has a similar necklace to what Lisa referred to which is now in my cart - actually carnelian (!) Turns out I have had my eye out for that color... I blame Lisa P. (so much blame lol) https://www.baublebar.com/prod.....-carnelian

I'll take the blame for a lot of things ;).

Irina, I have that same scarf in black/white and it sure can look overly styled with a sweater or top. I only wear it with a coat/jacket for that reason. What red beaded necklace have you ordered?

I love the light sweater you got! The off shoulder tee also looks interesting! Too bad about the scarf.....

LJP, this one but I don’t have high expectations, most of my Etsy purchases were disappointing.

I love all the red, Irina! Great addition. <3

FWIW, I often find Etsy purchases disappointing too. If it's vintage, it usually works well. But handmade I haven't loved the few things I've tried.

That’s pretty , Irina . I made my first ever Etsy jewellery purchase recently and was pleasantly surprised at the quality . What I didn’t expect was the $40 in duties collected by the courier .

LJP, wow! Never happened to me but I wonder now…

I like the striped boat neck. I have a near identical in navy/white. It is a super soft cotton knit, as you say almost like a tee but not. The off the shoulder top is totally up my alley and I can see why black would be a summer workhorse. Red would not get as much wear for me but maybe there is a time and place for it. Small scarves do tend toward that over styled feeling on myself too. I have a black/white like the one you returning and a stunning seafoam green and white. I never wear them but I am going to try.

I like red accessories, too. I had red French ballet shoes and a Dragon Diffusion woven tote already. This year I added a tiny red silk bandana and a suede flower charm on a string from Hereu.

Not an accessory as such, but I have a red suede bomber jacket that was my most-worn item of the spring, though it’s getting too warm for it now. I have the flower charm in the buttonhole at the moment but I’m going to move it to other pieces.

I’m also enjoying pinks.

Fun that you're experimenting like this, Irina! Look forward to seeing your fab red tees in action

Scarves of any size are an interesting accessory. They can absolutely MAKE an outfit, or they can feel like too much. It's an outfit by outfit thing, and taking into account all the other variables of your style and look. Back to BALANCE being key.

You'll find your balance!
