Summary of Summer YLF get togethers

I have missed a lot of this information and my head is not straight on what is where and when. Please pop down the dates and areas of all the impending YLF get togethers here.

Please take lots of GOOD QUALITY pictures and lets arrange some write ups. I need volunteers if it's not too much trouble.

The DC meeting is on 7/31. I have a terrible camera, but maybe someone else will have a better one.

I'm just getting ready for today's San Jose gathering! I'll go put an extra camera battery in my bag. Hopefully, we can take better pictures as a team than I can alone.

Isabel (MA) is spearheading a Boston-area gathering; date not set yet. If I am in town for it (hope to be!!), I'd be happy to do a write-up if no one else is up to it. We have some super, long-term members in the area though who I could see doing a fab write-up. I don't have a great camera for super shots, but I'm sure someone in the gathering will.

Thank you, ladies. So there are 4 in total, plus a little one in Edinburgh with Jean and Julie later in August.

If there are decent quality pictures, we can entertain blog post write ups - preferably with no face blurring as it ruins the pictures.

Tanya, would you like to do the write for DC?

Sparky, you are welcome to do the write up for Boston!

I do still need to post the picture from our SF get-together but we were spacey on the shopping photos.

Angie, me and my Nikon DSLR have got photos for the London meetup covered. I've arranged it with Fi (who will cover the write-up), we're both so excited to document the day for the rest of YLF!

In fact, I walked past the place we're meeting earlier today and exclaimed to Andrew "that's where I'm meeting the YFL girls in two weeks!"

I think that's something I need to check out Maya - I think Katiepea is the closest and Sharon I think is not far away but everyone else I can think of are in another state.

I'm not likely to get over to USA any time soon, though DH and I are planning an Alaskan cruise in year or two with a starting base in Seattle so I'll just have to settle on seeing all the lovely piccies of your get togethers

That is why I love the northeast corridor of the US: Yes there are lots of different states, but they are all tiny states dotted with numerous fabulous urban centers, so whenever there is a meetup in DC, Boston, New York, or Philadelphia, I can potentially make all of them!

Angie, Mac and I are in the same city and Sveta is no more than 1.5 hours away. A Canadian get-together is totally possible. It would be even better if it could happen when Ele comes here to see her family!

OK Ladies... KP And I have been talking and I am going to head to Brisbane later this year so we can at the very least do a Qld, Australia meet up!!!!

Wow - this is all so exciting. I can't believe I have to wait another 2 weeks for the UK meet up!

I am in Seattle on the 24th/25th of September, then in Vancouver 7 days later, then in the Sonoma if there are any organised meet ups being arranged.

I'm really hopeful Jean and I are able to meet for tea and cake, Jean's schedule in Edinburgh is frantic and I'm needing to sort out babysitters and transport but I have booked days off work to increase the chances of the world's smallest YLF gathering happening.

Edit: Angie, did you see that Firefly lives in Glasgow Scotland, I'm not all by myself anymore!
