Dear ladies: newbie here! Still not brave enough to post pictures, but have started taking a hard look at my outfits. Am currently on the hunt for the perfect white jeans. I seem to fall into the black hole of sizes. The short, chunky, and a 14 in some makers, but the skinny styles really seem to flucuate wildly in sizes! I've also noticed a huge difference in the material in the jeans. Can anyone give me some pointers/tips on a brand/style to look at?! I have only a local Macy's or kohls/target etc. I don't mind ordering online, but don't want to be purchasing just by guessing! Thank you ladies!

Welcome! One brand that works well for many is the Kut from the Kloth (the Catherine boyfriends or the Diana skinnies). You can get those from Nordstrom's. There is also Levis curvy, which some of our members have found really great.

Welcome to ylf! At Kohls, what brand will work will probably depend on your figure type. Gloria Vanderbilt doesn't work for me - way too high waisted, but if you have a long rise and are more rectangular it might be great. The Vera Wang line doesn't work for me either, too short. Sonoma is a good basic bet, as is Lee. If you're curvier try the Jennifer Lopez line. LC Lauren Conrad makes a really nice quality jean at Kohls prices, but tends to be cut more like a juniors size.

If you haven't already, set aside an hour or so and just try on all the different brands and cuts and see what might work for you. This is also a good idea to do at Macy's. several of their store lines, like Inc or Style & Co, should have white jeans options this time of year.

I haven't seen a lot of white jeans at my local Target, but their stock changes constantly so it's worth giving it a try. Take a range of sizes and cuts into the fitting room and see what works for you.

Thank you for the warm welcome ladies!! I'm heading back out again after work to continue my hunt! What is the opinion on the plus size old navy white? I might just order 3 sizes to see if I can find a winner. It's amazing how the size 14 are comfy in some brands, but in white, I'm trying to squeeze into 18's......odd. Love all the feedback that this site offers and in a constructive way!

Welcome! I know it can be frustrating to shop for white jeans. Others have suggested Kut from the Cloth. I have two pairs of their white Diana jeans, and love them. The fabric is heavy enough that nothing shows through, often a big problem with white. I have thin thighs so the Diana style is slightly loose on me (which I like). The Catherine boyfriends were much baggier on me, but they might work for you. Good luck with your search.

If you check Lane Bryant you may be pleasantly surprised. They double up the quantity for the 14-18 sizes and a lot ends up in the clearance. You can get coupons from Retail Me Not to get an even better deal too .
