Last year was my first attempt, and I bought Jag pull-ons in a bootcut and Jag straights. They are very thick and have a bit of texture. I find the straight legs more practical as the hem stays cleaner.
FWIW, in years past I avoided white jeans like the plague because I have very short very chunky legs. (Jags have wider legs than most brands.) I am getting used to the look and find the white bottom to be a great seasonal bridge because so much of my wardrobe is dark. Summer temps where I live are moderate, and since I run cold and don't really like to wear shorts, there have been some summers where I haven't even worn them so white jeans really fill that niche.
