I bought this velvet wrap dress to wear over skinny jeans (my black and dark denim seem to work the best on me). I loved the dress, but would have passed on it because being a wrap when sitting down it shows off way more leg that I am comfortable with. However, over jeans as a tunic, it is perfect. My figure is a slim pear shape, so I prefer to have waist definition, as tunics that go straight down, make me look larger than I actually am. I am also planning on wearing it over jeans and a t-shirt in the kimono style (like my picture below). I hope you find your perfect tunic / dress to wear, as I really love this look.
