Suede booties with cording/tassels: impractical?

I brought these Vince Camuto booties home to think about them. I'm looking for non-black booties for fall. I love this suede color, they are very comfortable so far, and the shape is attractive on my foot. They will go with a lot including cognac bags. I would wear them in fall/spring but not too much in winter once there is snow and slush on the ground. No find available.

I've generally stayed away from embellished footwear but i really like these. I'm wondering if the leather cording and tassels are a bit impractical and might catch on things. The pics are pretty unflattering but I wanted to show exactly what the cording looks like. The first pic is true to the actual color.

Have any of you had boots like this and did they catch on things?

I have some different booties with fringe and it does not catch on anything. I don't think yours will catch either. They look very nice and the tassels are really minimal.

oops, forgot to mention that I don't spend much time on escalators, public transportation, or airports, which I think are the most common areas where shoe damage might occur, but I do get in and out of my car a lot.

Do you have cats? Just wondering if you might be a moving target in those boots. They're very nice looking, though. My cat would definitely approve!

Great almost-nude color! I haven't found little shoe embellishments to catch on anything and I do tend to run into stuff These look super for fall and spring (cool summer too if you're in a mild climate). The suede might be tricky for wet days, so if you get a lot of those do consider. Otherwise these seem quite versatile.

I have fringe booties and I have never had a problem with the fringe. Those booties are very cute, cool, and unique.

Aida I definitely would need to treat them with some waterproofing. We get a fair amount of rain here in New England, except this year with a bad drought. Wearing untreated nude suede would be asking for trouble

Xtabay HAH..I do have cats, two of them, and that's an excellent point! However my boys are 10 and 5 so probably too old to be interested in shoe tassels The younger one might surprise me, he's a bit of a hellion still.
