Y’all know that I have a jacket weakness, despite the fact that our climate isn’t jacket-friendly from May through September. LOL But I have leaned into the cropped button-front shirt as a lightweight jacket this summer and am loving that.

But… jackets call to me for the fall and winter. And I tried on this jacket in Athleta and really liked it, so it came home with me. It’s sporty but not gear. I chose the bright white after also considering the abalone, which is a nice neutral, but I think the bright white is more flattering on my coloring and makes a bit more of a statement. I have gotten good use out of white jackets as long as they are easy-laundering and this one should be.

The length is nice — cropped but not too much so — and the zips at the hem are a nice touch. The ruching gives it some interest without being bulky. And the weight is good — light but substantial. I’ll be able to layer a bit underneath it.

Now we just need some cool weather! And I may need to do a jacket edit to make a little room in my closet.

Side note: my Finds collection tool doesn’t seem to be working. It seems ok while I’m on the Athleta website, but the find doesn’t show up here at YLF after I collect it.
