I went to return those defective tights from my other post and came away with some treasures.

-ME in pointy toe flats!

Yes it's true. After I made my return I went to browse the clearance section of the shoe department and found these. They are a 7.5, but they are actually more comfortable than my round toe flats because my feet don't come anywhere close to the tip of the shoe. I don't like pointy toe heels, but these flats just grabbed me--they reminded me of Audrey Hepburn--and then I noticed they were named after her :). They are black snake textured and very soft in texture. I got home and found out they come in a zillion colors, including a FAB turquoise. If they end up being comfy I will totally duplicate, maybe even triplicate in other colors. The best part is that they were $23, which meant I just paid $3 AND when I mentioned they were a little bit too big, the salesman added in a pair of heel grips for free. Maybe they won't make it to 8 hours but they should be fine for work when it gets warmer.

-Ponte knit pants.

As usual, I found them when I stopped looking. They were on sale and the last pair in my size. My mom actually found them and since I returned the MK blouse, she got them as part of my Xmas gift. But when I got them home, I wasn't sure if they might be too big? I think the waist is a tad loose...which surprised me. I think I'm probably thinning out now that I'm more active though. But they do wrinkle a bit along the thigh. There wasn't a 2 there to compare with though. They are this style, which I think will be fine for work. I would love to go for the BR pants, but I can't ask my mom to spend $90.

-I finally settled on a scent: Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea. The perfume was a bit pricey (ok not really, but pricey for ME), so I went with the body splash and a little rollerball for touchups. It's very fresh and fruity, which I love. I feel sort of "stale" by the day's end and this will help me feel crisp and refreshed.

I'm used to skinnies being skin tight at the thigh, and these aren't. You can kind of see a little wrinkling. But I thought maybe in a knit, it's best not to be skin tight? I'm not sure! I wish they had a 2 available but they don't even have one online now.

I think the shoes look fun and the pants look good too - nice length with just the right amount of scrunch for interest! The pants had good comments on the web page too about not stretching out.

I would think that black skinnies worn for work should not be as skin tight as denim skinnies worn outside of work, so they sound just right!

I think the pants look great, from what I can see. I agree about them not needing to be tight, that would move them into the leggings category.
The shoes are lovely, nice find! Glad you had a positive shopping experience

To clarify, I folded the pants under to show the flats. They need to be hemmed and I think I'm going to have the waist taken in. I think they looked too big at first because the waist slid down and bunched up the fabric. This excites me! I haven't needed to have the waist taken in on anything in ages, which hopefully means I'm on my way back to being an hourglass.

Marianne, I did keep the blazer. I still have to get the sleeves shortened though, so I haven't had a chance to wear it.

I'm of no help about pant fit, just wanted to say I love the flats on you. Wow!!! I'm also not a huge fan of pointy toes like these, but I'm getting a kick from seeing these on you. I hope they remain comfy and serve you well.

Glad you scored with the pants too. You know, my black BR cigarette pants are roomy, but I did have the waist adjusted. I like them that way actually.

It depends how you fair in pointy toes Angie. Honestly, I don't see these being 8 hour shoes for me, but $3 isn't that much of an investment for a pair of sweet 2-4 hour shoes. They are very soft and flexible and the insole is decently padded (though I prefer to add an insole anyway). My first pair of ballet flats were from MIA so I have a soft spot for this brand. They seem to make a comfy shoe.

They run small though. I could have probably done with a 7 but the 7.5 gave a little extra width (and it was the only size available). You could probably go with a 7.

Maya, those shoes are adorable! I wish they had a red non-patent pair - I'd be all over it! These remind me of a pair of beloved esprit pointed flats that I wore in the 80's - I wore them all over Europe when I was 16.

Good score finding the ponte pants. I can't tell from the picture but I suppose you don't want them too tight otherwise they would look like leggings and not pants.

I'm glad you found a scent that you like. I like B&B body splashes - I find them light and refreshing compared to a perfume. I just wear scented lotion for day to day and like the subtle scent.

I'm willing to put my head on a block (as dear Angie would say) that there was and possibly is a red non-patent version available somewhere, at some time. They come in even more colors than Zappos shows. Apparently they are quite a popular shoe, and I can see why. I feel so sleek and chic in them!

I'm seeing those flats for as low as $31 in other places online. I need a paiir of black flats for spring - do you think these are boring in the plain black leather? Or is black snake casual enough for MOTG-wear?

Maya, I have the same Mia flats in black...three pairs! Two in plain black, and one in black patent. They are so classic and simple. Real wardrobe staples with slipper-like comfort. I notice the toe has a tendency to curl up a bit...but I've worn them to death.

I'm not drawn to the black Tricia, but the black snake is quite dressy. I'd go for a non-black matte color if you're after something more casual. I like the white a lot, especially after it gets warmer. Tan, purple, blue, and green are all fab too.

Kyle, one of my guy friends once told me he thought pointy toes are "one step away from being a genie shoe." I guess he is right! Oh well--that is why I don't give much importance to what my male friends think.

Angie, i just looked inside the shoe and saw that they are made in Brazil, and I think Brazilian shoes are on your good list. Try them!

LOL at the "genie shoes" remark. I think it depends very much on the angle of the point of the toe and the cut of the vamp. Some look much better than others. These look great:)

Gosh, those are gorgeous flats, Maya, and it's amazing that they come in so many different colors! You should definitely duplicate in other colors if they prove to be comfortable for you. My daughter has the pointy toe Me Too Marlins and I'm going to have to tell her about your Mia's.
