As a petite, I am a regular customer at the tailor's. I've had all kinds of small alterations done to make my clothes fit correctly. But this week I tried something different, and I wasn't sure if it was going to work -- but it totally did, so I thought I'd share. I had this pair of flare jeans in a wash I really like and that fit perfectly on the waist and seat, but that I had not worn in over a year. They used to be favourites, but it seems that I don't really wear flares anymore. I was thinking about donating them, and then thought, what if I got my tailor to turn them into straight-leg jeans? Anyway, I got them back yesterday, and hey presto! They are perfect!
Something to keep in mind if you have a pair of flares you no longer wear. Bonus points if you can do it yourself. Sometimes I wish I could sew...
