Success or major Fail!??

Hello!
I know I'm hogging a lot of space today, but I promise this is my last for today
So I got this pair of denims from DP a couple of months ago and it was my 1st mid rise/ high rise jeans attempt. The color is somewhat between light wash to dark and the fabric has a LOT of stretch to it... which obviously made the jeans sag with constant wear.
Last time I put this on manny and hubby said they dint like how it looked...so today I made an attempt to save them and give them a makeover...so I cut some patches to give them a bit of a distress using scissors.
Did it work or was this a total fail?... Do they fit ugly and should I chuck them?

Wellll, if they're not liking the fit, I don't think cutting holes and rolling the cuffs is going to change their mind.

I think maybe the placement of the distressing is unflattering?

Honestly if I was getting that kind of response I'd just chuck them and not look back. My appearance isn't just about expressing myself for myself, it's also about feeling like an attractive presence for the people I love.

First, I NEVER said its horrible and should be thrown away! They were just too relaxed and bagged out at the knee. So I'm glad you cut that off! It does look pretty cool!

While i can understand what Isabel means, I beg to differ. I think you should dress primarily for YOURSELF. I find it too cumbersome and rather tedious to dress up in a way that looks good to my loved ones. I'd rather just wear what makes MY heart sing!

I am sorry. I have to be honest. These do nothing for you.
One idea: To patch denim/ashley print cut-outs over/under some holes, or even one over one hip, as to create visual asymmetry.

I think the square distressing holes look very artificial. Also I've been wearing high-rise at full length without distressing and that's how I see it worn around here.

ETA or they are cropped with a hem, not a thick roll.

I think these need to be more loose and boyfriend-y. My parents hate distressing and bagging though and will happily tell me so! DH knows better than to complain.

I have a pair of really distressed pants that Hedev just doesn't like but I do. They are not my most worn item, but they aren't going anywhere. The bagging may be an issue. Does that bother you a lot?

I'd move on.
I'm not into distressing so that plays a role. But, I think distressing adds anothe proportion issue regarding length, tending to chop up the legkine. Plus I agree it works best in a looser fit, and " realistic" ( haha) distressing.
