Styling Reiss olive dress, and a wedding attire question

Taking a stab at styling my Reiss olive "shirtdress" to be ready for when's its season is here.
1-with PG taupey-gold flats
2-with t-strap flat
3-with olive sneaker
4-with camel suede pump (for several hours-wear, not all day)
5-Attempt at "fall-ifying or winterizing with burgundy turtleneck, ribbed tights and laceless oxford, and 6 -similar with burgundy tights and loafers

Comments and suggestions welcome!

Also, I have a family wedding in June in Texas. I have not targeted this dress for that because my hope is to wear something "brighter", like a happy fruity color and a little more dressy, but.....if such dress does not materialize, do you think this dress could be "wedding'd up", with the PG flats shown and maybe just the right dress clutch and other accessories? Jewelry is tough because the high neckline won't take a necklace, so would have to do bracelets or something. It's close family and I will be in at least some photos so I will be looking for something more festive, but dresses with length and sleeves but for summer are SO hard.

Great ways to wear this dress! I think #2 is my fav.

My opinion is that a shirt dress is too casual for a wedding.

Thanks for not letting me relax on the dress hunt. I could wear this to rehearsal dinner or something, but then I might rather wear a pants outfit- restaurants will be freezing. Which reminds me I need to work on a whole weekend trip capsule!

#2 and #3 do it for me.Its a lovely dress and I would think that you ll get a lot of wear out of it but I have to agree with Elizabeth ,it s a bit too utilitarian for a wedding in my book.Treat yourself to another dress!

I think the dress looks good the way you've styled it. I prefer it with the more open flats that show a bit of skin versus the sneakers. Personally I think the sneakers would look better with a shorter dress (above knees) but that's just my opinion. I also like the winter styling with the shirt layered under it.

These stylings are all terrific and the dress is wonderful on you! I like it better with the more open shoes; if you shortened it an inch or so the proportions might work better with the sneakers.

Thank you for input. I agree, the sneaker outfit is not ideal, and since I don’t really wear dresses as my go- to casual, I’ll probably forego this look.

Wedding guest dress hunt is on for sure. I agree with Angie— never stop looking for dresses. I envy those who can pick up a dress on the fly! My dressy capsule skews toward black, dark lace, winter colors and metallics. I need a yummy summer dresss.

That dress is absolutely lovely! The sneaker look is really fun, and JFE to my eye, but #1 is my favourites. I think I'd like to see 5/6 with sheer tights rather than opaque.

In my casual area, this dress would probably be dressy enough for a wedding. It wouldn’t hurt to look for another dress if you are uncertain, though.

As for the wedding- of your expecting cold weather maybe a dressy long-legged jumpsuit with some kind of bling y jacket over it? Just an idea...

Ka Pedestrienne, thanks! I did the tights as part of layering for warmth. This is a lightweight dress hence mostly would wear as-is, along with sheer pantyhose, but was playing around with seasonal adaptations, to see if anything worked. !

I like your stylings of this dress, but my favorites are 2 and 3. I would look for another dress for the wedding, but it is great to have a backup plan. I found the style in Texas (Dallas) rather dressy and lots of bling. You could do metallic shoes and jewellery and bag. Metallics are great with olive.

Yes, would like to be dressier. Metallics ARE great with olive. The first shoes have s metallic sheen though it’s subtle. I actually have pewter loafers I am trying with the EF olive ( “rye”” is the color name) pants.
