One of the things that DH bought for me from NY is this Zara pale blue lace skirt.  Pale and me are not friends   They look hideous on me!  But I am left with no option but to work with my foe  So here we go!  I have kept the shoes nude in most of them.  I am looking for color and proportion advice.  I have not added the topper since spring here usually is too hot for a third layer of any kind.  But I could always use my denim jacket or my black faux leather waterfall jacket/vest if need be.

1) With chartreuse tank.  This is an Angie outfit copy in the reverse.  Joy suggested in my other thread that I try this combo.

2) With a striped white boxy cropped top.

3) With an ink boxy blouse

4) With a coral top.  Not sure why there is so much of weird bunching going on!

5) With a black floral top (another DH purchase!).  The flowers in this are pale blue too and match the skirt IRL.  I think black ankle strap shoes might look better with this outfit?

6) With a butterfly printed tank.  The butterflies are pale pink and pale blue.  I changed out the shoes to pale pink sandals to tie the outfit together.  Does it work?

I have practically tried this with every top in my closet.  So yep .. this is it!  Do you think these tops work?  The lining of the skirt creates a horizontal line by my knee and I wonder if there are too many horizontal lines in my outfits?  Longer tops make this line even more awkward.  While tucking is not possible because the skirt is high waisted for short waisted me.  So this is the best top length I could manage.  Now on to you!  What are your thoughts!  Thanks as always for taking the time to read and comment! x
