Styling help- pencil skirt

What length of jacket to wear with this pencil skirt?

Sorry for the blurry image. Here I’m wearing a wool moto-style waist-length jacket.

I have another that is thigh-length. Would that be better?

Also, do you think I could wear this skirt with a leather moto jacket?

I am not used to pencil skirts so all or any styling tips are appreciated!

yes to wearing it with a leather moto jacket...and yes, i'd wear it with a

thigh-length coat...

A pencil skirt makes a slim silhouette so can be worn with a wide variety of tops and toppers, like skinny pants. I would ( and do) wear one with a moto and leather jacket but a long topper like a long cardigan or duster works too, to my eye. If you have a column of black, it helps to have some different textures or a bit of pattern.
