I have lately been enamoured with driving mocs. They typically look similar to loafers except are a bit lower profile and have nubs on the bottom or a flexible sole instead of a harder one. I wouldn't have any issue styling, say. black and white loafers, but I have tried on some driving mocs and I cannot seem to shake the feeling that they are tragically unhip. I feel decades older than I am whenever I try them on and look in the mirror. They tend to look like slippers, especially since they are usually one solid colour and soft looking.

So why bother, you may ask. Because they are ridiculously, amazingly, transformatively comfortable. I was considering buying some in a vibrant cobalt so that they look more intentional and less, "These shoes are neutral so others won't notice as quickly that I have totally given up on style."

I am asking because I KNOW some ladies here have styled killer outfits with loafers, if not driving mocs. They don't look at ALL like they have given up or frumpy - the way I see myself whenever I try them on. So help me out and post pics either of yourself or even blog pics of someone else wearing loafers/driving mocs in a stylish way. Or, if you feel that driving mocs are too close to slippers to be worn in public, please say so! I am open to all perspectives here!
