I got the Frye Veronica Back Zip Boots at NAS in black, and feel like they are a bit too much for me, maybe (sadly).
I don't know if it is the color or the hardware or the fact that they do not fit nearly as slouchy/loose as my brown Veronica shorties. I have hope, and they've been loosening up with each wear but still are not loose above my ankle at all.
I have so far only styled them with black leggings and a long tunic (covering the bum) and also with dark denim jeggings.
Is my issue the low contrast between the pant and boot? I can't imagine wearing a light color pant with these boots (and I don't own anything lighter but white pants).
It is not the clunk factor, as I wear and LOVE my brown pair.
Analysis and tips greatly appreciated.
