Styling a casual Citron skirt

I'm about to push "Buy" on this gorgeous skirt, but I'm worried I won't know how to pull it off. I know Angie likes citron, so I hope this community has thoughts. Loose linen top is one idea.
I own the citron Mother denim crops, which I wear constantly and effortlessly, go figure.

So...if you wear the pants all the time, then why not the skirt? Are the tops you wear with the pants unsuited to a skirt, somehow?

I don't wear citron except in patterns, because yellows don't like me, but one of the patterns in which a yellow like this appears also includes navy, light blue, emerald, light green, plum, lilac, mustard and pale pink -- so I would think any of those might potentially work. So might orange, fuchsia, white.

The style of the skirt looks pretty easy to work with -- with the kick pleat in back it should be comfy. I'd wear a loose linen top (maybe tied at waist) as you suggest...I'd wear tees, linen (or other) tanks. Tops either boxy and slightly cropped and untucked, or longer and more tailored, tucked or semi-tucked. If the top has some fluidity and can be "bloused" a bit on tucking, that will also work.

If I needed a topper, I'd wear a cropped denim jacket.

I'm with Suz, I would expect how you wear your jeans to work with the skirt as well. I like citron and white together for a very fresh and summery look and my personal favourite is citron and pink.

Wear it with whatever you like. For cohesiveness in the outfit, just make sure that the citron colour of your skirt is echoed in an item near your face (top, topper, scarf, jewellery, or eyewear).

Hmmm, since you wear the citron pants with no issues, wondering I’d it’s the citron or the skirt part that is the “problem”….I suspect it’s the skirt part.

Personally with a skirt of this shape I’d wear a simple tee, maybe a cropped denim jacket or short boucle jacket if you need a third piece or something for the AC.

I'm with kkards. Skirts can be trickier to style than pants and jeans, so I expect it's that.

The top and shoes here look like they can work well with the skirt. Try it!
