Sadly, the winter weather here is still hanging on, so I decided to do some experimentation to tweak my winter style slightly. I wanted less structure and refinement, so I flirted with adding more of a relaxed, outdoorsy, whimsical vibe that still has my style essence. It’s pretty subtle but I think its almost there.
Photo 1- Burgundy Gap cords, newly thrifted Gap coloured heart sweater and my black string heart necklace. Dug out my old black leather Fossil crossbody bag.
Photo 2- Levis 501 jeans, striped Breton long sleeve tee under a pine green zipped cardigan that once belonged to my mom. Added the pendant heart necklace and Fossil crossbody once again.
Some of the tweaks attempting to achieve this vibe were:
- Cuffing my jeans and cords so they read more casual and expose the ankle boots more.
- Added a less structured leather crossbody bag with some brown leather details on the trim
- Wore a woodsy green coloured ribbed knit zipped cardigan
- No obvious tucking or belting.
- Charcoal Gap sweater has a subtle fuzzy knit texture and a multi-coloured heart graphic along with the metal heart pendant necklace for some additional playfulness.
How did I do with my tweaked up versions?
Anyone else feel the need to tweak their style a little differently?
