Style shift:)

Roughly 3 months ago I had panicked and posted asking Angie how do I dress in all male environment. Angie hugged consoled me and guided.
In the same post Sveta pointed out that once I am convinced of my ability to perform I could wear whatever I want.
About a month ago I had the haircut and now I realise I have had a style shift. Not only I am buying different. But also pairing different.

Strange how it creeps on us isn't it...

Moni the misses were the 4th pic. I like the combination but the trousers are tooo big right now. I hated pulling it up by eod. Some of the tube skirt too. Especially the one with kurta. That was what I thought would be a no brainer.
Another thing that comes to my mind is no longer enjoy tees and jeans. Very very surprised by that

Are you going for something more feminine and fun now? Your hair is certainly a great boost in that direction. I work with all boys too, men hah! They are the jeans and ragged tops types. Hard to make your own way in such an environment, but I notice that being happy in my clothes helps my day no matter what. And the boys never comment, just the ladies.

Rachy and Di never thought of it as bold. But I do feel more feminine as opposed to girly.

Wow, that is amazing. You wrote being concerned about establishing more style in a male dominated world -- and the style you grew into is more feminine. I agree it is not "girly." It is a strong feminine style. With a huge jolt of fun. Maybe dressing in a feminine way helps you feel distinct from the men.

I like Suz's adjectives: strong feminine. Dressing is a form of self-expression, but we all sometimes decide to highlight certain aspects of our selve and subdue others. You're finding a way to show more of yourself without losing your professional strength. Free and well shaped hair that looks both womanly AND strong is a real turning point, I think.

Your style is definitely shifting; I like Suz's characterization of it as a strong, feminine look. It's interesting how changing your hairstyle has catapulted you into a new style direction. Sveta was right when she said that once you had demonstrated your ability to hold your own with the men, you'd feel much more confident to wear what you wanted.
