Reporting that jorts of all shapes and washes are being worn by all ages here on the Black Sea this summer. Not the regular short cut off denim shorts, seen usually. Visitors are from all over Europe; from UK through to Poland and Ukraine, and everywhere in between.

I was in the supermarket over the weekend, and all the cool kids (ie college summer students) were wearing loose lower slung jorts!

KKARDS yes the cool youngsters are wearing slouchy longer versions with sneakers and taller white socks and baggier tees. Cannot say I am a fan of the proportions though. Others are in neater, shorter jorts with more fitted tops and sandals.

I feel validated. I've been wearing baggy long denim shorts for years and never saw them on anyone else around here. I think mine qualify as jorts but can't be sure. I'm waiting to see if the trend infiltrates my rural town.

No sightings in the bustling metropolis of Winnipeg, yet. I expect to see them when back-to-school and uni starts early September. I have a new pair of baggy long linen tailored shorts from BR (not below the knee though, which is how I define the jorts look) which I'd like to wear to work if I could figure out how to style them.

I see them here, in Toronto’s downtown, too. Styled with oversized t-shirts, oversized button down shirts or fitted crop tops.

I wore mine yesterday with a fitted Tshirt, blazer, and sneakers. Sorry no photo, they're fun to wear.

Lynne Teens are wearing them loose, slouchy and longer with baggy Tees, baggy button downs (usually open) and sneakers, sometimes with longer white socks. With crop tops too. This is cool on youngsters but not for me. The rest mostly are wearing more neater fits with more fitted tops and sandals, sometimes belts. I like this look. Yours outfit sounds totally fab.

LJP I agree, below the knee, or maybe mid-knee being the shortest jorts. I think anything higher is more of a bermuda? Maybe Angie can give us her perspective. Maybe some jorts cross-over with other more traditional names, like culottes or capris... Or jorts refer to the 2025 cut, although I do see various cuts. Previously it was very short fitted denim cut off shorts here for years so this is a mainstream shift of note. Much like the jeans shapes I suppose. An organic evolution from that.

Jorts are big here too, especially with the younger generation. I've been wearing mine too. They are a darker wash compared to the lighter washes that most of the kids are wearing and definitely no crop tops on me either.
