I’m currently going through a style change because I became a mother. Not only has it been well over a year since I was able to wear my regular clothes (pregnancy and postpartum period combined) and I’m faced with changes in fashion - I’m also forever juggling to keep up with laundry, look somewhat presentable and be able to hold my baby without worrying about my clothes. While I’ve always found comfort inportant and my style has always been relatively ‘plain’, I’m worried that I’m sliding into ‘boring’ territory because even the simplest of accessories are often too time-consuming or delicate for my life now. That being said, I do wear the outfits underneath with confidence in my daily life. What do you think? Do I look stylish or lost? And if stylish, then what could my moniker be?

I’m thinking something like ‘current classic’ because I always like current variations on classic pieces, like my stretchy pencil skirt, oversized shirt dress and tweed trousers.

Maybe ‘subtle’ too, because I do like some muted color, tiny details (like the sewn in crease in the tweed trousers, or the tassles on my flats), quirky (upon close inspection) prints (like on the blouse, there are tiny birds) to keep my outfits interesting....

I’m feeling ‘feminine’ too, more now than before becoming a mom...
