Style inspiration: Orphan Black

DH and I have been completely sucked into the first season of this show (we are always behind the times!). And OMG, I love the main character Sarah's style! She has that perfect grungy punk rock look - boots, beanies, leather jackets, skinny jeans. It fascinates me how she changes up for each role, and of course the wardrobes help a lot too. Any other fans?

Loved Seasons 1 & 2 - we binge watched a couple of years ago and nagged all our friends to watch. Sarah's style is great. Not crazy about Season 3 so far

Yes! Watched Season one (and two I think) on Netflix. Anxiously waiting on the next season. Loved it:). And yes her style is so cool and she's not a bad actress hey:).

My first thought when I read the title was: whose style is she talking about? hahaha! So many characters to choose from! I wish I could remember the actress's name. She's amazing, how she can completely inhabit all of the different women -- their ways of talking, moving, being .... and I love her brother SO much. His fashion is fabulous and often hilarious. I agree about Sarah: her look is great, as is her attitude. It's been a while since I watched, and I have not seen the most recent season, so maybe I need to pick it up again.

Last spring Hot Topic/Torrid did a collection with looks inspired by Orphan Black. There were looks for Sarah, Cosima, Alison and Helena. I wanted Sarah's moto leggings but they sold out before I could get them.

That's an interesting topic of conversation.....being inspired by television characters for dress ideas.....i must admit I've seen people on tv whose dress I've admired and wondered if i could pull that look off.

I've heard of it but keep getting it mixed up with Orange is the New Black . And I assume prison garb is not what you're after here . I have to add this to my queue- she sounds like she has style is like .

Love the show.
Of the many clones Sarah is my favorite fashion icon with her mix of punk/grunge tough girl cool, but I find a lot of Cosima inspiration too.

Sarah: punk, grunge, rocker chic
Cosima: Nerdy chic with a touch of boho
Rachel: Classic modern minimalist
Alison: Preppy mommy chic florals and athlesiure wear
Beth: No nonsense suits and jeans
Helena: God only knows! Prim sister wife getups to full on commando
and let's not forget
Delphine: Classic French girl chic
Felix: The true fashionistia of the bunch though he shares Sarah's love of punk grunge rocker artist chic
