After two style icons from the 70s, I am switching gears and going even further back in time. Marilyn's bombshell style resonates with me, as I have a bombshell shadow persona that typically comes out at fancy events or when generally going out, when I always prefer tailored, waist-defining garments. I am not voluptuous by any means, but pretty hourglass-y and able to pull off such looks if the focus is not on cleavage. I couldn't replicate her iconic white and gold lame halter dresses as I own nothing even remotely similar, but had fun approximating some of her other looks.
#1 - A retro polka dot dress, with white wedges instead of black high sandals, as I really wore this outfit to an outdoor BBQ. I sadly ruined dress washing it later, so this was it's last hurrah
#2 - A retro cherry patterned dress with very high white sandals.
#3 - A bright pink cocktail dress with strappy black stiletto sandals.
#4 - A casual barefoot outfit with fitted black cashmere turtleneck and cropped white high-waisted jeans.
#5 - A flirty outfit consisting of off-the-shoulder green blouse, black flouncy skirt with high side slit, long necklace, black fishnets and black heels.
