After my hiatus from YLF, I went back and started reading my posts from the past 3 years. As I took a walk down memory lane, I stumbled upon a post I had titled "Style Goals for 2012". The words reminded of a young woman who began 2012 with excitement towards fashion - but then let health issues, changes in her body shape, and weight gain steal her joy. That young woman hid rather than embraced who she was...

And it made me sad.

Then I remembered all that I learned in 2012.

And that I have the power to do things differently in 2013. So I'm going to...

I'm starting by revisiting those style goals I had for 2012 - and rolling them in 2013.

1. Clearly and concisely define my style persona - Even though I haven't been active on YLF much the past year, I realize that I gravitate towards "Business Office Bombshell (ala MaryK) with a few unexpected twists for work. Now, I want to find a way to take this style and adapt it for life oustide of my office.

2. Shop with a clear purpose - This means taking another honest assessment of my wardrobe, making a list of the holes, then shopping to fill those holes. No buying a blouse just because it's on clearance if it's not needed in my closet.

3. Find stylish dress pants - My new job doesn't mind if my tattoo (Georgia Tech mascot on my inner right ankle) shows, so I can wear skirts and the like which means I have less of a need for pants. But I still want to increase my trouser selection. Suggestions here are welcome.

4. Create an inspiration folder - This is the one thing I did consistenly throughout 2012. I will continue in 2013.

5. Share my looks on YLF - without fear!
