I feel ridiculous that my first WIW in ages is inspired by Steampunk, but what can I say? I love a costume challenge. Especially when it involves a chance for me to dress as my alter ego "Chic Explorer."
Last time we met Chic Exlorer she was excavating an archaeological site in the 1920s during the decade challenge. This week she's channeling steampunk, but looking more like she stepped off the boat from England in Jamestown. Whoops! Oh well, only a couple hundred years off. I'm sure the boat was flying through the air powered by a steam engine.
I really don't have enough punk or bombshell bones in my body to pull off this look, but it was fun to try:
Lacey high-neck blouse, tight tweed vest, cameo brooch, watch clipped to silk trimmed utility pants, lace-up boots, wool hat with feather embellishments.
Miss you all and sorry to have been so quietly lately. Life. Sigh.
