Stuart Weitzman owners - fit question

Would you say SW shoes are TTS? How are they typically for a medium bordering on wide foot?

I've been stalking these shoes for over a month now and have found them at a very good price on the SW Canada website - no customs charges and only $10 for delivery. And one pair left in my size.

Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated

I just checked my two pairs (less than two years old) and one, the sandal is a 71/2 and the peep toe sling is an 81/2 so go figure. I am usually an 8 in "mall shoes".

I think of them being on the narrower side. These ones are cute and I see why you are tempted.

Like Una, I don't have any but I've tried some on from time to time. I find them narrow, and I have narrower feet to start with. Also, they seem very bunion-unfriendly.

Those are beautiful though. If I thought my bunion could handle them, I'd be searching for them for my second pair of wedding shoes.

I have some older ones from a consignment shop and they run a bit too narrow for my average width feet for total comfort. They are sitting or 4 hour shoes..

I am liking what I am hearing because I can just eliminate his shoes from my list as I have a wide foot. It's nice knowing that I can just appreciate the looks of them and not angst over getting some to try.

I only have the ballet flats and they fit my semi wide foot like a glove, but only because the leather is very soft (like gloves) and there is elastic around the opening. The ones you've posted (are gorgeous) are pointy so I'd be wary of their fit on my foot at all.

I can't thank you all enough from saving me from a purchasing mistake - if they run on the narrow side, they definitely won't fit my foot. Out of the cart they go!

Oh, so pretty, Shannon!! I can really see you in those.

My SW booties fit my not-wide-but-not-narrow foot almost perfectly, but they do have very soft leather. I say "almost" because they are slightly narrow for my right foot. Having said that, I wore them for 14 hour standing and walking days in London to no ill effect (except very tired feet by the end of the day).

If they weren't patent leather, I might give them a try as softer leather can stretch. But patent just doesn't stretch much at all so not worth the pain or effort.

Wise decision. My new patent Danskos were pinching a little yesterday, and they are not narrow. So narrow patent flats - OUCH!

Pass. They are not wide or all that comfy. I wish they were because I LOVE them.

Size up about a 1/2 size if you can ( I can't remember if he does 1/2 sizes). I have a wide foot and usually size up anyway but for this pair I did not -- I think the gap between my heel and the back of the shoe was too obvious.

The black suede SW boots I have aren't as wide as I need them so they are in near pristine condition and I can't wear anything thicker than sheer hose with them. If I'd sized up I am sure they would have been destroyed from constant wear by now.

They really are pretty, Shannon, and I was about to say that my Stuart Weitzman ballet flats fit TTS, but they are a soft, buttery leather. Patent leather is a whole different animal and I think Angie was wise in advising you to pass. You want your feet to be comfy, no matter how pretty they look on the outside.
