Stuart Weitzman - worth it?

So, I have been stalking a pair of Stuart Weitzman booties for sometime. They are finally on sale for $350. Yeah, some sale!

I have heard good things about the brand, and as I am on Team Fussy Feat, comfort is critical. I have had a tough time finding beautiful, classic short boots with a low heel that still look nice. Still, it is tough to pay more on sale for these than I give full price for Eccos or Munros.

Anyone have experience with the brand? Are they worth the premium?

Yes, my OTK flat boots are by him and they're going on their 3rd year. I have some heels by him that only worn for the opera, so they're no going to wear out anytime soon.

Anyway, I have a pair of his ballet flats. This is a type of shoe I normally can't tolerate, and his Giveables fit and feel beautiful on my feet. I did pay a cringe-worthy amount for them, but at least if they're going to last for a long time, I'm starting to come around to the idea that this is better than buying cheaper stuff that doesn't last. Of course, you have to really love the shoe in the first place.

I have two pair, both of which I've worn two seasons. Both are in great shape and I still love the styling of both. However one of them (snakeskin kitten heel pumps) went half off right after I bought them and my computer kept loading the ad, in the way that happens when you look at something even if you buy it, and that was sort of painful. So it's good you're getting them on sale.

Finally went to ite the bullrt on them, and they are gone in my size. *sigh*

Guess it wasn't meant to be!
