I'm just about ready to give up on the blue/orange midi skirt that I copied from Natalie/goldenpig. I just don't have the right tops/footwear to make this work - believe it or not, these are the best of the bunch.

1) With black t-shirt and heeled fitted mid-calf black boots. This is the option feels most "me".

2) With dark brown tank. denim jacket and heeled brown boots (took the ribbon off one of them if you prefer that look better)

3) With orange t-shirt purchased specifically for this skirt. The t-shirt is too long and the color isn't flattering on me. The skirt looks dowdy with flats and I need to be able to wear flats with it.

4) Failed copycat of GP's signature look with this skirt. It's nowhere near as fab as her version and it's too dressy/formal for my lifestyle. 3" black pumps are great for an evening out but not so practical for my workplace.

5) On a whim, threw on a yellow blouse and cognac boots. The lack of ankle definition makes my legs look stumpy.

I think I could wear looks #1 and #2, but that's not enough to outweigh the designer price, imperfect fit, and lack of versatility with the rest of the wardrobe.

I could get the Jcrew blouse I'm sale stalking or the Express not-leather jacket for less than the cost of the skirt, either of which would get worn more.

Anyway, just wanted to share my attempts, so you know that I *did* try.
