So glad your work situation is settled; a supportive boss goes a long way in any work/life situation and it sounds as if you're off to a great start.
I fear in-laws and your "helpful" weight-oriented mother will try your patience, but luckily you have lots of experience living your life for you vs them!
Perhaps you can develop some stock lines and repeat as necessary, trying to stay as detached as possible. I'd go for a tally sheet to keep track of all the times you didn't let anyone push your buttons -- reward yourself when you hit X, then start over.
